Schedule is Finalized!

wsr8whiteDeal’s Gap, N.C. (August 28, 2013) – The schedule for the Women’s Sportbike Rally VIII presented by Draggin’ Jeans is finalized and loaded with plenty of fun and entertainment. The festivities begin Friday, September 6, and conclude the morning of Sunday, September 8.

Friday, September 6

The rally gets started with the annual group photo of the ladies and their sportbikes. We are returning to the beautiful scenery of the lower Fontana Dam and we encourage you to arrive early. This picture generally takes a little set-up but definitely worth it so you do not want to miss out.

Immediately after the shutter clicks at 6:30 p.m., you will enjoy the ten curvy miles to Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort where the Sportbike Night presented by Schuberth will get under way with food, sportbike games and the annual, and always entertaining, t-shirt toss. There may be a special “night cap” presentation, but you will need to be present to learn more.

Special note:

  • Registration will take place from 4 – 8 p.m.
  • You do not need to be checked-in to participate in the group photo, but you will need to be in order to eat.
  • Silent Auction items will be available for viewing and bidding during registration.

Saturday, September 7

We are kicking off the day at 9:30 a.m. with our Saturday morning tradition since the first event in 2006 – the Deals Gap sign group photo. This will be without our motorcycles so just hop off your ride or drop your fork if you’re grabbing breakfast and jump into the photo.

After the photo feel free to form small groups and head out for the day of riding on some of the best roads in America. There will be some ladies available to share route advice if you’re new to the area. Be sure to save plenty of time to return to Deals Gap by 6:30 p.m. to participate in the Sportbikegirl Pit Party presented by NPR Ducati featuring food, entertainment and prizes. In addition, we’ll give you another opportunity to bid on Silent Auction items before announcing the winners.

The after party festivities continue with the always entertaining mini-bike racing powered by Fiddies4Life featuring several of our ladies racing.

Special note:

  • Late check-in available for those who were unable to check-in or register on Friday.
  • During the pit bike racing we’ll be sponsoring a 50/50 raffle and have snacks available so bring some cash!

Sunday, September 8

This informal breakfast is a great opportunity to say your last goodbyes to the new and old friends and maybe even sneak in another last run on the Dragon before heading home until next year.

Special note:

  • Food is not included and no formal activities will be taking place.
